Kerala the flavour of spices

Kerala in southern India is surrounded by three oceans and bisected by the Ghats, a 1,500 km long mountain range along the west coast of India. Driving in Kerala is fun because of the good roads along the coast and also in the hilly mountains. The temperature in January is fine, about 30 degrees. Kerala is the land of palm trees, backwaters, plantations, species and nature parks with elephants and tigers. The start will be in Kochi, where the Dutch influence is still palpable. To the South Cape of India 1000 km in 15 days. We drive along the coast to the South Cape of India in two days. Back to Kochi we will drive for 6 days in the Ghats, a mountain range up to 2600 m high. The roads have many bends, speeds often do not exceed 40 km/hour. Along the way there are waterfalls, lakes, rubber, coffee and tea plantations. You can only drive through nature parks during the day, at night it is too dangerous due to the crossing of elephants and other animals. Day trips maximum 155 km. Arrival hotel at approximately 3 o'clock.
